I am Shaun from Zeal Weddings. My approach to the art of taking pictures can be termed discreet. I am sure that a wedding is an event that happens once in lifetime for the happy couple, so I try to capture it quietly without being the centre of attention and without changing the flow of the event. My duty is to record it in such a way that the images produced reflect it truthfully, vividly, honestly and at the same time artistically and beautifully, and there is no better satisfaction in my job than to see the thrill and happiness of the clients when they get their photographs.
Photography is an art, and before I take a photo, I create it in my mind. A photo to remember requires skills, knowledge, creativity, flawless environment, and most importantly love. Wedding photos are all about love and I do my best to capture the happy moments, which will render emotions experienced on that day even in twenty or thirty years through the perfect photos. This is what I call art.
Before the wedding day, I talk to the couple; I connect with them to find what will work the best for these very clients. It is important for me to know their preferences in order to make this day memorably outstanding, and to choose the best approach for the photos and the setting. I have a task to find the best angles and background for the happy couple. On the day, I set myself the challenge of bringing together composition, light and emotion into each image. The photo is not only about being pretty; it also expresses a story, a sentiment, strong enough to convey an emotional response from the viewer.

How to prepare for the wedding photo session
Wedding day is energy consuming and intense for all the brides, so the biggest advice is to have a good night sleep to feel fresh and rested in the morning.
In order to look well on the photos, your make-up should not be too transparent but at the same time, it should not be heavy in case you get too emotional. That is why, it is sometimes better to use the professional stylist, who knows the best tricks for applying the wedding makeup. If, however, you know your face better than any makeup artist, these tips are for you.
- Your eyes are very important; they should be expressive to emphasize your emotions on camera. This is the day when using darker eye shadow and fake eyelashes is absolutely justified.
- The color of your eye shadow should contrast the color of your eyes; it will make them more vivid and bright on the photos.
- Take good care of your eyebrows the day before, so that your look is more dramatic and eloquent. Remember, you want to look perfect on the day.
- Use natural warm tones of your palette; it will give your look sophistication and style.
- Use a good foundation and concealer to hide little imperfections that can spoil your important day, and do not forget blush. However, try not to use pink blush with pink dress, the camera does not fancy this combination.
- Make sure to not use excessive shimmer, it can give an unwanted effect of light spots in the photo and can make your face look uneven.
